Privacy notice: the Coming Home waitlist
This notice explains what we collect when you join the waitlist on this website, why, how long we keep it and your rights. It covers the website and waitlist only, not the Coming Home app, which will have its own notice.
Version: 2026-10-02-draft. Last updated: 2 October 2026.
Who we are
Coming Home is an independent UK company building an iPhone app for families who look after someone at home. For the waitlist, we are the data controller.

What we collect
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To tell you when the app launches and to send your founding member offer |
| Whether you are a carer, the person being cared for, or a family helper | To understand who the app is for and what to build first |
| The situation closest to yours, and anything extra you choose to add | To understand what families need. Please don't include names or health details |
| Your answer about paying for Premium | To test whether our planned prices are fair before we build the app |
| That you agreed to this notice, and which version | To keep a record of your consent |
| How you found us (campaign tags in the web address, such as utm_source, and the website that linked to us), your browser type and the date and time | To see which ways of reaching families work, and to keep out spam |
The situation you choose could say something about the health of someone close to you. We only ask for a broad choice, we ask you not to add health details, and we handle these answers with extra care. [Legal review: confirm whether any answers are special category data and the Article 9 condition relied on.]
We do not use cookies, ad trackers or third-party analytics on this website. If we add privacy-friendly, cookie-free statistics later, we will update this notice first.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and we will delete your details.
Who we share it with
We never sell your details or share them for advertising. We use a small number of service providers:
- Website hosting: [Vercel, with functions in the London region, to be confirmed]
- Waitlist database: [Supabase, London region (eu-west-2), to be confirmed]
- Email sending: [provider to be confirmed]
They act on our instructions under a contract. [Legal review: list any transfers outside the UK and the safeguards used.]
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until 12 months after the app launches, or until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We then delete them within 30 days. [Legal review: confirm retention period.]
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to restrict or stop using it
- ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time
To use any of these rights, contact us at [contact email to be confirmed]. We will reply within one month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
